Our Priorities During Covid-19 Outbreak

Thursday, 12th March 2020

The Good Shepherd Trust takes the welfare of our school communities very seriously and is monitoring the current situation closely. We continue to work with our Health and Safety Advisors at Kym Allan and are keeping up to date with all Government advice and guidance.

To keep you properly updated with the unfolding situation around Coronavirus we have a standalone information page.

Please check back regularly.

At the time of writing the DfE has confirmed that no school should close in response to a suspected (or confirmed) COVID-19 case, unless directed to do so by Public Health England. UPDATE: All schools have since closed except to provide care for vulnerable children and those of key workers who cannot be safely cared for at home.

If you have concerns or questions about the arrangements at your child’s school, please contact your child's school directly for further information and support.

There is a dedicated helpline to answer questions about COVID-19 related to education. Staff, parents and young people can contact the helpline as follows:

Telephone: 0800 046 8687
Email: DfE.coronavirushelpline@education.gov.uk
Opening hours: 8am to 6pm (Monday to Friday)
